ReplyDeleteI think is hard for him call L.A. "home" what do you think? he is there only because of his son, now two sons. For the look he gave to the Irish flag, you could see he wants to go back to his real home, Ireland, where his family and friends are. I don't know if I've read it somewhere or it's just me but, he doesn't like L.A. much right?

ReplyDeleteI agree he must be exhausted after all the travelling, and welcoming a new born, I think it would take its toll on anyone. Although, they will have lot's of hired help no doubt to assist with looking after baby.
ReplyDeleteAs for living in LA, I think he's kind of resigned to it now, he's been left Dublin for so long and I don't believe he even owns a home there anymore, just rents an apartment when he stays, which is rare these days.
Colin is a Hollywood star, which means LA, whether it's for his son, or for the work, I don't see him ever really leaving. But that's not to say, he doesn't miss his beloved home country, he's still very much Dublin born and bred in his heart... I think it probably helps him stay sane in the otherwise mad LA culture!
And you're right, just look how pleased he was to see your flag Luna... I think it reminds him of who he is, or was. He's proud to be Irish, but like many whom make it famous, once they leave home, they never really go back : - ) x
In those X17 Online photos of Spain, he really looks like he's hauling @ss to get away from whoever the photographer is. Too bad. They ruin it for the fans. Maybe he'd slow down enough to sign an autograph or two for fans if he wasn't power walking to avoid the paparazzi. It makes it kind of difficult to sight-see too. All the people in the backgrounds of those photos have this look on their face like 'was that him?' He's walking so fast he's just a blurrrrr.

ReplyDeleteIt's a real shame he "can't" go back to Dublin. It's true they never really go back. I'm sad for him, he's very proud to be Irish and Ireland is a great place, but now he has to live for whatever reasons in L.A. which by the way, it's a horrible city, I've been there, sorry if there's someone here from L.A. but that's my opinion.

ReplyDeleteHey now! I live in and love the City of Angels but I'm a California girl through and through. I'm not offended. It's a big city and I can see how visitors might be put off by things like traffic, but all in all it's lacking nothing. You just need the right tour guide.

But why someone would see his new baby? Infants usually stay at home (of course except doctor's appointments, researches etc.). It isn't something strange for me. This baby is only one-month-old.

ReplyDeleteIt's not uncommon for babies that young to be out and about, even if it's just to go out to the park.
Henry is 5 weeks now so he's probably "going out" like every other kid but I see no reason to take him to any "public" place like hotel or meeting so it's rather good that he's not there.
ReplyDeleteI actually think that Henry is out of the house from time to time with Alicia but no one is taking pictures of her and paparazzi are usually in the same places all the time so they snap Colin in hotels and CAA and LAX and nowhere else LA is a big city and I see no reason to takie 5 weeks old boy to a some kind of meeting in a hotel. Don't worry one day they'll snap them Colin will be pissed and you'll be happy.

ReplyDeleteI think you're right. The first opportunity for papparazzi to snap Henry would be for example some airport because sooner or later C&A go to Europe (they both have families - in Ireland and in Poland and their relatives want to see the baby).
10:01 definitely, and it's rather normal at least for me that he wasn''t there with a child I think sooner that later paparazzi will decide to follow alicia and finally they will find her maybe with Henry I suppose she (as Colin) has some meetings and some work to do but it's nothing wrong that he's doing he's job (which is, while he's not shooting any movie, having meetings with people) without his boy.

Yes, perhaps she is taking Henry out in secret. It would not be the first time that has happened. However, if she does continue on her quest for fame (which she is still doing - I saw that on one of the other pages here) she won't be able to do that for much longer.
However, I do find the lack of photos of them together since the U2 concert a little suspicious. Both families are over there now so surely they'd be able to grab some time together at a spot that will get Alicja noticed by the paps? That's what she wants.
1010, nobody said that taking or not taking his child to what could be a meeting was wrong.

I can bet that Colin's child won't be on any magazine cover (but I'm almost sure that now, when Henry is born journalists from two biggest Polish lifestyle mags Viva and Gala fight their tooth and nail to make a photo session of Henry and his parents).
There is a rumour that there is going to be a big magazine splurge sometime in the future, but I strongly doubt Colin will be part of that. It seems to go against his private nature.
